Lionel Messi scored twice as Argentina sealed top spot in Group F with a 3-2 win over Nigeria at the World Cup on Wednesday.
Messi, who has now scored four times in three games, also set up his side’s third which was converted by defender Marcos Rojo.
Nigeria had twice pulled level through Ahmed Musa but, despite the defeat, the Super Eagles still made it through to the last 16.
That’s because Iran, the only team which could have denied Nigeria, was beaten 3-1 by Bosnia and Herzegovina in Salvador.
Edin Dzeko and Miralem Pjanic gave Bosnia a two-goal lead before Reza Ghoochannejad pulled one back with 11 minutes remaining.
But with Iran pushing forward for an equalizer, Avdija Vrsajevic rounded off a rapid move by firing in off the post just two minutes later.
