Suspects Reveal More Mass Mexican Graves | October 10, 2014

The suspects in the case of the 43 missing Mexican students have led authorities to new burial pits and more bodies.

A mass grave was found in the state of Guerrero two weeks after the students disappeared following clashes with police.

Attorney general Jesus Murillo Karam announced on Thursday that the suspects revealed four additional mass graves last weekend in the city of Iguala. They contained 28 badly burned bodies.

Four new suspects were arrested, bringing the total of detained to 34, including 26 police officers.

Parents of the missing students have been holding vigil at a courtyard at the school, which was supposed to help the impoverished, rural young men become teachers. “They took him away alive, and that’s the way I want him back,” said Macedonia Torres Romero, whose son José Luis is among the missing.
